In rural America, Joe Higan endures a savage attack from his former clan as retribution for betraying their ancient code by becoming a Nukenin.

Rising from apparent death, he resassumes his former identity as Ninja Kamui to seek vengeance for his family and dismantle the organization that shaped him, confronting modern foes with his ancient techniques.

Along his journey, he must confront trained assassins, combat cyborgs, and rival ninjas to dismantle the very organization that once defined his existence.
